Dr Susanne Bryngelsson

Susanne Bryngelsson is a researcher and project manager at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, as part of the expertise group of sustainable nutrition. She is also an adjunct lecturer at the University of Kristianstad. Prior to joining RISE she worked at SNF Swedish Nutrition Foundation, as scientific staff and editor, and later on as CEO. She holds a PhD in food science from the Swedish University of Agriculture (SLU), where she defended her thesis on antioxidants in oats. She has a broad interest and expertise in nutrition and food science, as well as long experience of nutrition and health claims labelling systems. At RISE she is involved in both research projects and projects run together with food companies. One of her research interests is nutritional issues related to the so-called 'protein shift', including plant-based alternatives to meat and dairy products.
